Delusionville is a pop-surrealist dreamscape created by legendary NYC street artist Ron English, and Elrow is a legendary event producer in Spain that’s now gone global. The creative minds at Elrow brought the artist’s vision to life in a club setting, and they’re closing the summer season in Ibiza with Delusionville parties at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Sept. 2 and [UNVRS] on Sept. 26, plus a mainland event on Sept. 5 in Oviedo in the Asturias. Ron English spoke with LOST iN about what to expect.
“You don’t visit Delusionville,” Ron explained, “you remember it, like a memory from a parallel time, a shadow of existence before you were born into a forever-dying human carcass. It is an almost-place where thoughts are the building blocks of what feels like reality, and imagination is the architect of a new kind of sanity. Vanity is abandoned on the other side of the looking glass. Just as falling on one side of a planet is the equivalent of ascending on the other, delusion is the precursor to creation. Everything exists within the imagination of the dreamer—and that dreamer may be you.”
In more literal terms, expect a sensory riot where reality bends and Aesop’s fables morph into a psychedelic carnival. Think three-eyed rabbits, satirical vultures and other anthropomorphic creatures floating above a sea of confetti, inflatables and cartoon chaos.
