Britain’s 1990s were a collision of rebellion, reinvention and cultural swagger, when art, fashion, photography and music blurred the lines between high culture and the underground. At Tate Britain, The 90s: Art and Fashion revisits the decade through the eyes of guest curator Edward Enninful OBE, the former editor-in-chief of British Vogue. Bringing together nearly 70 artists, photographers and designers, the exhibition captures a moment when a new generation challenged convention and reshaped Britain’s creative identity.
Expect provocative works by Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas and Steve McQueen; era-defining designs by Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano; and bold photography by David Sims, Corinne Day and Juergen Teller. The latter lens legend contributed the pink-haired Kate Moss seen here.

From DIY grunge and underground style to questions of identity, representation and class, the show explores a decade whose creative energy continues to influence culture today. The 90s: Art and Fashion runs through February 14, 2027 at Tate Britain in London.
